Yeah, the first 3 (ending in 1999) were great. Dud city since. Hawkfan will be along shortly to educate your movie ass.Reservoir Dog wrote: ↑Tue May 21, 2019 11:54 pm![]()

Yeah, it's cool to dismiss Tarantino. His work is so derivative.

Kill Bill was a dud? Inglourious Basterds was a dud? Django Unchained was a dud?
Do you have any idea what the fuck you're talking about?
Perhaps you should stick to watching Transformers movies. They're geared more toward your intellectual level.

It's amazing how political Hollywood can be but at the same time they completely embrace gratuitous violence and killing. It's easy money but will the Hollywood politicos ever get a backlash on it?
The Hateful Eight was a terrific movie but it could have been better without his signature of the gratuitous violence and usage of the N word. It wasn't needed to the story but he had to stuff it in there. I'm also not a Christoph Waltz fan and he's in most of his movies.

1:58 and 2:02 Margot Robbie, yea I'll watch it just she's in it!

If you can't be a good example, you can still serve as a horrible warning.

It currently has a 94% on Rottentomatoes... and on Monday night it got a 6-minute long standing ovation at the Cannes film festival.

I watched the first maybe 20 minutes of Hateful 8.
Re: Once Upon A Time In Hollywood
Tarantino is taking over from JJ Abrams and directing and producing the next Star Trek movie. Probably a dream job for him. Can't be any worse than the last 2 Abrams did. Might be an interesting take. Probably not.ThirdRail wrote: ↑Wed May 22, 2019 7:49 pmWestTexasCrude wrote: ↑Tue May 21, 2019 11:17 pm Isn't this lame ass loser director in charge of the the next Star Trek movie? Good Lord.

I don't think anything is green lit yet but he says he has a screenplay written... And he wanted it to be R rated.
I blame Biker.

And Sofia Boutella rocked as the new ally in Beyond. Would be nice if they could continue with her character, maybe to replace Chekov?

Re: Once Upon A Time In Hollywood
Apparently, it's going to be an entirely new set of characters. What's unknown is what Star Trek era it will be set in. (original Trek, Next Gen... etc.) Perhaps it will be set in an entirely new Star Trek era.
Rehashing the Kirk/Spock era would be a mistake seeing how the Chris Pine reboot films are still doing quite well.
Re: Once Upon A Time In Hollywood
I can almost see how Tarantino's Star Trek would probably turn out. Crew gets stranded in the Beta Quadrant. Passing alien ships beg Kirk to allow them to use the Enterprise for their Dead N*gger Storage Area. *eyeroll*Reservoir Dog wrote: ↑Thu May 23, 2019 7:56 pmApparently, it's going to be an entirely new set of characters. Dude, what is your fucking problem? I just got off work 30 minutes ago after working in the heat all day. Go get some help with your attitude. It needs addressing.Reservoir Dog wrote: ↑Thu May 23, 2019 8:37 pmThursday drunk? You really should do something about your obvious alcohol problem. I'll be honest. Back in the old UJ days, I always considered you one of the brightest posters on the site. Funny, inquisitive, refreshing, etc. Now with this massively reduced site, you have become just another hack spewing contributing nothing. Dude, what the hell happened to you? Must have been a pretty bad life experience.Reservoir Dog wrote: ↑Thu May 23, 2019 9:09 pmYou were drinking at work?
