Winston Churchill as first Lord Admiral hoped this would draw the US into the war. Even evidence it's the reason the ship was sailing without naval escort. It didn't work. We staid neutral for another 2 years. He bemoaned us not getting involved saying it could have shortened the War, saving millions of lives. Not mentioned was it would be US soldiers making up the difference.
Cool story, bro. Got anything you didn't copy and paste?
Cool story bro. You have anything intelligent to add? Yeah. That's kinda what we all expected.
Here' something intelligent I'll add...
There isn't a snowball's chance in Hell that you would use the word "staid" as a past participle. Or "bemoaned" in second hand context. Or capitalize the word "War" as a proper noun.
Type your own shit, FAKER!

You seem kinda sensitive. Hope it's (not really) nothing major.

When every type of criticism is labeled sensitive, offended or triggered, that's when you know the right-wing clowns are out of arguments.
Guess who the snowflakes are.

This may come as a surprise to you, but some of us don't give a shit if historical data is pasted from elsewhere. It seems when all else fails, resorting to this complaint suggests you're grasping and that's far more pathetic than not conducting one's own original research to quench the appetites of idiots like you.

No need to get all salty, sweetheart. I don't give a rat's ass if he's just trying to pass on historical data. My point is that he tries to pass it off as his own trying to look smarter than he actually is. He's been doing this for years. He doesn't use links, quotes or even quotation marks. He wants us to think they are his words so he can feel smart.

Oh.. I see your point but I don't really care. If it makes him feel smart, great.
If you're concerned with reading peer reviewed original research, perhaps you've come to the wrong place?

You literally don't know what you're talking about. Talking out the side of your ass. I just finished the book "Dead Wake" by Erik Larson. That's what I'm referring from. I'm not adding links, quotes or quotation marks just to satisfy you. Fuck off.

As an example of what I'm talking about. Go to the 4 minute mark in the movie reel. You will notice Capt Turner is running on only 2 boilers as he gets under way. That's because he wasn't going to waste coal by getting up to speed, because we was scheduled to meet 3 British warships just off US waters and pick up their mail for delivery to Liverpool. Several big German liners ducked into NY's port at the beginning of the war and were impounded for the duration of the war due to US's Neutrality Act and the 3 British warships are offshore making sure they stayed there. Now look at the photo at the top. That was taken by a British officer aboard one of the 3 warships as Lusitania is sailing away at full speed (3 boilers). I read all that and everything else in this thread from the book "Dead Wake". And I am not going to put links, Quotation marks or any other BS around anything just because it bugs you. Deal with it or not. I don't care.

So, there's your evidence. I've said it many times before with members who's pedigree dwarf your limited knowledge. And I'll repeat. "I've forgotten more history than you will ever learn in your entire lifetime".
