The Wire

I'm re-watching The Wire and the quality of the acting / stars is really impressive.

Omar / Michael K Williams is probably my favorite actor in the entire series and that's saying something considering the cast.

Very solid show.
For dramas, It's in the top 10 all time for sure.

Wire came after.

David Simon created both. Has a pretty impressive resume.

I actually bought Wire season 1 many years ago from Best Buy. Started but shut it down. Realized it was set in Baltimore and involved mostly Black criminal issues. To be honest I didn't need to see a fictionalized series on something I see in the news everyday. That said, with all the glowing reviews over the years, just fired it up today and will watch the whole thing.

Mad Men lost me toward the end when there seemed to be less of a focus on Don Draper. The first couple years were incredibly solid though.
Never watched Dexter.

Never could get into Mad Men.

Fargo is excellent but my friends think I'm nuts on it.
Breaking Bad had the greatest single episode maybe ever in the bombing - Game of Thrones is better overall.

The Americans is really good.

It's a simple crime show but Endeavour on the BBC isn't bad at all. It's a lot like every other BBC period crime drama but I like the characters.
Bosch on Amazon Prime is worth watching IMO. It's better than I ever expected.

Actually , I understand that point. However, that is what I liked about it. Pretty brave to change gears. Vikings did it when they killed off Ragnor and it didn’t work.

i got hooked when Lisa was training a new guy and they were driving across this salt lake desert in the Andes. The truck over heated and they had to stop for her to change a hose and put water in. She climbed up on the engine and bent over and then turned with a smile and said "Don't be looking at my butt"
