Testosterone

#1

Post by DandyDon »

I've been diag'd with low T for a few months, and have been doing 1/2 ml of 200 mg per ml intramuscular every week. ( I hate fucking shots, it kills me to give one to myself in the thigh muscle). Its been a good deal, better energy, not so tired all the time, and a hard-on that will cut cold rolled steel. I feel 21 again other than the bad fucking joints and arthritis, bursitis, ect.

The Doc just upped me to 3/4 ml each week which leaves 1/4 ml in the vial, and the pharmacist says to throw it away after using 3/4 of it (bullshit, this shit is $14 a vial). I'm doing the whole 1 ml in a shot so I dont waste shit, and have started working out. It cant hurt, its only 50 mg more. Right? Although I do believe I can break the toilet lid with my dick in the morning if I hit it. Best of both worlds, right?

Seriously, I cant see wasting something this expensive.

Discuss.

Why not save 3 of the leftover 1/4 and make a full dose? So you get 4 doses for the price of three. Or use the left over 1/4 and add 1/2 of a new dose leaving 1/2. Next week use the leftover 1/2 and add 1/4 from a new leaving 3/4 for the next dose.

are you overweight? Most people diagnosed as low t are either overweight, diabetic or have tiny balls.

There are also thyroid and pituitary issues that cause low T levels. It's actually more common than known about.

So declining levels of hormones aren't a normal part of aging.

Geez, if I felt this way I'd want a pill or shot to get fixed up right away.

MIND
• Depression
• Reduced self-confidence
• Difficulty concentrating
• Disturbed sleep

BODY
• Declining muscle and bone mass
• Increased body fat
• Fatigue
• Swollen or tender breasts
• Flushing or hot flashes

SEXUAL FUNCTION
• Lower sex drive
• Fewer spontaneous erections
• Difficulty sustaining erections

Maybe we should all take that stuff Frank Thomas is pushing on those off channel infomercials. I'll bet with all the steroids he's taken he is sort of a scientist.

I know a few guys on TRT and love it. It's like a fresh start at 50 years old. BUT I heard once you start, you are on it for life, because if you stop, your T will drop off the planet. Did the Dr. tell you that?

I can't say if it is worth the trouble since I am not there yet, but I can say it is sort of pathetic to see an old dude with abs, chicken legs and sagging skin. Maybe an over the top tan to finish off the after-mid-life-crisis. Maybe I'll do the same thing some day???

My first thought is a shot for 30-40 years (forever) sounds like quite a commitment. I don't know the numbers, so I am making this up.

Say a normal level is 100.
If you are at 50 now, the shot gets you to 100 or even 200.
Your body stops making T altogether (this is what I have heard)
When you stop, your level drops to almost nothing.

Would you rather be at 50 for the rest of your life?
Or 200 for 15 years, then get tired of the shots, and be at nothing for the rest of your life? What would 0 Test feel like?

Is it that simple?

As long as your PSA and BP stay low, do the whole ml. Cut back starting about 3 weeks before your next blood test so it doesn't look high to your Dr.. During that time keep the 1/4 bottle in the fridge and bank it for the following weeks.

Also, donate blood a week out from your blood test. It'll lower your hematocrit level. Most GPs want it below 50. Urologist and Cardiologist say that under 52 is fine.

Once you start there ain't no stopping.
I know several guys who use Clomid after coming off a cycle to get natural production back up.

OK, please discuss:

Take steroids and your natural Test production slows. When you stop, it eventually comes back naturally (or with the help of other drugs).
If you are on Test as TRT, I heard it never comes back and you have to take it forever.

True?

Also, Dandy, what is you Test level at before and after?

If the reason your T levels are down reverses, I'm sure your levels will rise naturally. For example if chemo therapy causes a drop, when you go off chemo your levels will naturally rise again.

It depends on how old you are and how bad you have abused them.

If you are on Test as TRT, I heard it never comes back and you have to take it forever.

TRT is for when all other therapies fail to work.

True?

So the guys O know that are doing TRT as more of a recreational thing to get summer abs are fucking themselves? I assume they don't really need it if they accept the aging process. They do it because it is legal. Seems like they would be better off with old school Wintrol instead.

One of the first things I noticed was I sleep better than I have in a few years. I used to wake 5-10 times a night, and now its maybe once to take a piss. I have more energy, want to fuck everything that walks if it looks good, and have my "dont take shit" attitude back.

It has oil in it so you don't want to just bang in the needle and push all at once. Let it take about 10 or 15 seconds to depress it or you will get PIP. Post Injection Pain. Then massage it in for a bit. Look up some youtube videos on doing self injections...there is a ton of it out there.

Make sure you use alcohol swabs and clean top of vial for a good 20 seconds every single time you draw. Same thing for injection site.
Are you under a doctor care? Make sure you do blood tests and see where your estrogen levels are in a bout 8 weeks after starting.

You may need an AI (aromatase inhibitor) like Anastozole or you can get gyno. Estrogen levels are hard to control and dial in correctly. Either too high or too low can cause symptoms.

You may need to donate blood every 3 months or so to keep your hematocrit levels at normal levels. Blood can thicken up on Testosterone and cause high blood pressure issues and worse.

you may want to look up youtube video about injecting in the deltoid muscle on side of arm. Lot less nerves to worry about ever hitting. I couldn't even think of going into my quads.
I blame Biker.

I convinced my dr. To prescribe armpit T, and I instantly became more aggressive and less tolerant of what had become the status quo in my household. Nothing changed, I was just pissed off about it.

I do the massage after injection, and use alcohol wipe before. Never had an issue with pain in my quad before this. My doc does blood tests every month (I'm on coumadin and another drug for afib and on BP meds) so hes on top of things I hope.
