i would think that writing scripts for crime dramas would be the most simple thing there is. you have all of your actors in predefined roles, so all you need are some real life crime stories and then tweak them a bit to fit the cast of the show. They would basically write themselves.

honestly, there are a lot of similarities between those two shows. Law and Order likes to use those "think about it" lines at the end of scenes.

I liked the original L&O, especially the interaction between the cop teams (Lennie/Orbach was a favorite RIP), but SVU is just too horrific to watch now.
