My plans are to work, then work some more, and work again. I'm on 7 days, 10-11 hrs a day until labor day, but fuck if the $$$ ain't kicking. I make as much or more on time and 1/2 as regular pay.

Good for you Don. I used to supervise UAW guys who'd work that much and they'd get really burned out so be careful. Take a day here or there just to recharge the batteries.

Just take care of yourself.. how many guys have dropped dead in their 40's and 50's of heart attacks with big fat bank accounts that won't mean shit when you're in the ground.

Summer is my busy time at work so I'm basically slaving away all summer. I've got a few concerts in the fall but mostly now its just trying to fit all my work into the hours I want to work. I try to keep weekends free to spend time with kiddo but it doesn't always work that way. Money is good but I'll never get these years with my son back so... priorities.

Actually, this new job has been the best thing I could have imagined. I work long hours, but its improving my health. I walk 6-10 miles every day at work and I've dropped 18 lbs in 6 weeks. I"m 6'4 and weighed about 305 before. I can feel myself getting stronger each week, and I havent had to use an inhaler in 3 weeks. I had my Coumadin and BP checked today and my resting heart rate was 71 bpm, the lowest its been in ages. BP was a little high but I lost my A/C in my truck this week and I was scorched driving to the Dr. when it was checked. All in all, it was a good visit. I got my handicapped placard form done to go to the DMV, and my scrips filled. Come Sept.10 I'll have BCBS Cadillac plan insurance, and maybe I can get these knees replaced.
