Have a 1 week rental on the Gulf Coast near Corpus Christi lined up the 2nd week of August. Friends joining me at different times of the week. Plan some swimming in the ocean. It's been too long.

Motorcycle trips! Spent last week in the mountains of Colorado and we are riding out to Phoenix and salt lake the first week in September.

We went to Niagra Falls, Gettysburg and a few places along the way last month. Might go visit my nephew in Denver next month.
Trying to find airfares to go away at Thanksgiving. My wife couldn't commit so prices went up on a few places I'm interested in visiting.

Disney and all other theme parks are Hell for me. I havent been to one in over 10 years as my lovely wife has assumed theme park duties

That's one of the fun things about living in/around Orlando: being so close to the tourist blackholes and *not* going to them, or doing so rarely. Even if we know someone who works there and can give us employee tickets, we just don't. Haven't been to Disney since 2006, and even living five minutes from Universal, we only go for a fancy meal at one of their restaurants. We got beaches and springs to go to, and they cost a helluva lot less in money and stress. If we do decide to go to a theme park, we take the hour drive to Winter Haven to go to Legoland, the former Cypress Gardens, and for my tastes it's a great day that is nowhere the wallet-drainer of WDW or Universal proportions.
