What's your best local Brewery or favorite local beer? I've got a few, Lakefront Brewery's a good one here that is nationally distributed but as far as pure local goes there is Raised Grain Brewery that is a mile from my door. They have a great Belgium Imperial Stout called Black Walnut that they'll do some variations on, barrel aging or adding coffee. They have Six Stone Scottish ale that's a personal favorite. Then there is New Glarus...

I don't get into all those fancy schmancy craft beers, but there's a small brewery a couple of hours from here called Formosa Springs that makes a couple of darn good beers.

We were on the Virginia peninsula below Maryland and Delaware. The seafood was amazing!

We have a ton of micro-breweries around, but 30 miles down the road is Sam Adams and Harpoon. I used to like Sam, but then they got political a few years ago. Fuck them. It's just beer! And we have an In-Bev/Budweiser plant in the next town over. All said and done, I'll drink whatever is in the beer fridge. I am lucky that I have some beer snob friends, so I get to try the leftovers without paying the high prices. Damn, most of it is shitty though.
