I was really excited to see this movie. I love anything to do with space exploration, Sci-Fi, This movie is so hyped I was really expecting to be blown away and I have to say it was a real let down. Except for some very far in-between and short lived action sequences the movie was basically Brad Pitt ruminating to himself about his relationships with his wife and his father who left when he was a kid.
The science in the movie was just silly
Cinematography was beautiful
The Colonel Kurtz angle was anti climatic.
I'm not giving any spoilers away. I can be very forgiving when it comes to these kinds of movies but It really was a pretty boring when all is said and done. I would like to see what "real" people have to say about this flick because obviously the reviewers are on some pro-brad pitt thing here.

So the 2-3 weeks after Labor day weekend release didn't give you a clue. Usually when they release films that didn't make the Summer roster. It looks good enough for me to check out, though. Like you, I dig any film sci-fi/ space type films.Stapes wrote: ↑Fri Sep 20, 2019 9:07 pm I was really excited to see this movie. By check it out do you mean 4 years from now when it comes on Netflix and you come back with a review nobody cares about anymore? or are you gonna put some gas in the Pacer and head down to Hooterville Mall for the senior discount matinee?
