Should they rebuild the Bahamas ?

Should they rebuild the Bahamas ?

The property is worth more than the slum housing that was destroyed.

But with Global Warming that Island will be under water in a few decades.

Yeah.... that's not gonna happen.

Anyway, maybe they can build it better.

Cost vs. profit. That give less than a shit about the residents other than to serve the tourist industry. They will rebuild because the profit is greater. But, given the propensity of stronger and more frequent storms because of climate change, it may not be feasible in the near future. Then we have yet another humanitarian crisis on our hands. No tourism money, and thousands in poverty. And... a country that Trumps base hates brown people.

Pen Island lover has a point, they can build a condo complex for the locals inland and a underwater sea world on the beach front property. Just one thing, does that island have an inland?

Rebuild. Better. And if the resorts can profit for a couple dozen years before it sinks, investors will be pleased. By then, they will need a new flavor of the month to exploit anyway.

Maybe Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia should just bulldoze the first mile inland from the coast to prevent further tragedies from climate change? I'm sure Dandydon will be fully on board with that.

Might as well add NJ in there.

One thing I don't understand and of course is never mentioned in any media accounts/ Aren't the Bahama's a British territory (Like Puerto Rico a US one)? So we are offering massive aid (which is fine), offering to locate thousands here (which is not fine). So where the hell are the Brits?
