If this Loon had tried that at an affluent mall in say Houston, Dallas or wherever, probably would have stopped in his tracks within seconds from citizens with open/ carry permits. Those permits/ licenses along with training are extremely expensive. El Paso is 95% Hispanic, mostly lower income. I say, instead of more gun laws, how about lesser gun laws. Drop all the BS fees, registration costs,etc. just payment for the training and let our Hispanic citizens of Texas also be able to defend themselves. See how logic works without all the hysteria, hand wringing, simple liberal solutions. ETC.

What's really weird is the guy drove to the site with his sister and another guy, and apparently proceeded to "gear up" in assault gear after he got there.

See this is where we run into trouble. You cant really preemptively punish people for what they "might" do. Should he be allowed to own a gun? HELL NO. But it's way too easy to acquire a gun through other channels, even if proper ones are flagged. So then we are left with identifying and stopping these things before they happen, but how? You cant lock someone up for being racist, antisocial, probably even making rape lists. I'm not sure what the solution is (AR ban and restrictions on ammunition would be a good start) but thoughts and prayers arent fucking working.

The other fact is that the vast majority of these mass shooters legally purchased their weapons. Thanks Trump for pointing that out.
