Interesting, How did you know that? When I was 8, my exposure to SR was sitting in front of the TV eating Saturday morning "Capt Crunch" cereal watching him jump 300 ft gorges with his "o" face, like he wasn't going to make it.
That is from the original manga マッハ ゴゴゴ "mahha go go go". It's a bit of a pun in Japanese. Mahha is as close as they can say German word Mach, and go go go is just general racecar lingo, *and* the name of the original character of Speed Racer, Mifune Go. And go also means five in Japanese, so why Speed has the numeral five on his car and an M on his helmet. Go-go-go is also how a 日本人 hears a car's tires sound on a racetrack.
Damn, I did not know that. Let's be real. I was 8. I was more into my Capt Crunch cereal. Much more.

My first exposure to anime was Voltron. Thoroughly enjoyed most of the Netflix revival though I thought they cheesed the ending pretty hard. For my cartoons now I lean a bit more towards the over the top violent type. Even back before anime, the more outrageous the violence the better. Wyle Coyote, non better at taking a hit.
Coyote always bought his latest high tech roadrunner killing devices from "ACME, Inc". It was never explained how he could afford it or how he paid for it. Hell of an open account. Now that I think about it- It explains the exact economic platform for all 20 Dems running in 2020.
He was a "Super Genius". He developed all of the devices he used, then traded the IP to Acme for product. Quite a simple arrangement, really.

Looked good until he fell 3,000 feet off the mesa and survived only to see his Acme 3 ton device follow him down.

Was "The Jetsons" a H-B cartoon? Hated that show. Total shite.
Yep.
It was supposed to be "The Flintstones" set in the future.
Total shit. So it ran the late 60's/ supposed to show the future in like 100 years. flying cars and shit. The robot maid should have been a Marilyn Monroe voluptuous figure with, I don't know, a fleshlight vagina to mount up on when the wife is gone. No, It's a square (and I mean square) elderly aunt scolding you on your bad manners. I'm thinking H-B had a prude problem.

Actually it's more like Trump paying for increased defense spending while cutting taxes.
