the best comment i ever heard out of her was in an interview and she was talking about where she grew up. she said at the end of town was a whorehouse and the whores would sit outside on the front porch. she thought they were just beautiful and her mother wouldn't let her go near them. she said they had fancy hair and makeup and fingernails. she always wanted to look just like them.

It is crazy to think how her name is synonymous with so many things in US culture.
