You don't need "the media" to know that.

Answer.
Re: NZ Terror Attack
Dude, not 3 days ago, there was a story in the New York Times. It was about the battle over land rights between black/ white citizens in South Africa. An issue that has been going for decades since apartheid was banned. The author had to include the following in the headline "Trump is somewhat to blame". WTF? It's like they toss and turn at night until they see some mystical connection. It's really a sickness.

Re: NZ Terror Attack
WASHINGTON — President Trump on Friday closed the nation’s borders to refugees from around the world, ordering that families fleeing the slaughter in Syria be indefinitely blocked from entering the United States, and temporarily suspending immigration from several predominantly Muslim countries.
In an executive order that he said was part of an extreme vetting plan to keep out “radical Islamic terrorists,” Mr. Trump also established a religious test for refugees from Muslim nations: He ordered that Christians and others from minority religions be granted priority over Muslims.
“We don’t want them here,” Mr. Trump said of Islamist terrorists during a signing ceremony at the Pentagon. “We want to ensure that we are not admitting into our country the very threats our soldiers are fighting overseas. We only want to admit those into our country who will support our country, and love deeply our people.”

It’s funny that, while people are hanging this on righties, etc., I have come to believe that most Muslim terrorists are basically criminals who snap and decide to hang their bad deeds on their religion. That seems to be what we see with the euro Muslim terrorists.

well, the media is sort of like a fisherman. they have to bait their hooks with what they think will catch the most fish. so, obviously, the fish are telling them this is what they want.

The law they wrote was the closest they thought they could legally get to trump's clearly stated aim of banning all muslims from entering. They misjudged and it got shot down several times before they found a line the courts could parse.VinceBordenIII wrote: ↑Fri Mar 15, 2019 10:39 pmIs that what the law they initially wrote said? Not the first version, not even the more diluted second version. The third version is in effect.
Trump called for a "a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country's representatives can figure out what the hell is going on." and that my retard friend is illegal.

Excellent. Exactly why he will be in office until Jan 2025 and then hand over the next 8 years to Pence. (e) Notwithstanding the temporary suspension imposed pursuant to subsection (a) of this section, the Secretaries of State and Homeland Security may jointly determine to admit individuals to the United States as refugees on a case-by-case basis, in their discretion, but only so long as they determine that the admission of such individuals as refugees is in the national interest -- including when the person is a religious minority in his country of nationality facing religious persecution, when admitting the person would enable the United States to conform its conduct to a preexisting international agreement, or when the person is already in transit and denying admission would cause undue hardship -- and it would not pose a risk to the security or welfare of the United States.

See your side of the political argument back around 2040. Your reps are doomed until they get their shit together. Should have taken the 2016 election as a wake up call. They refused. Oh, yeah. Those low turnout mid-terms. Last 50+ years every incumbent (except for George W- post 9/11) has lost seats. The biggest losers have been Clinton 1994 / -54 in the House/ -10 in the senate. Obama 2010 -63 in the House/ -6 in the Senate. Trump lost seats in the -40 in the House and gained +2 in the Senate. Yes, what a setback. Harbinger of what's coming in Nov 2020 with your clown car candidates.captquint wrote: ↑Fri Mar 15, 2019 11:58 pmI guess you snoozed through last November???WestTexasCrude wrote: ↑Fri Mar 15, 2019 11:45 pmSee your side of the political argument back around 2040. Shithead can sit on his hill top spewing statistics with CNN blaring in the background all he wants. Doesn't change any reality as he'll see in about 18 months. The delusion is really mind boggling.
