man, at insane train one time, tom foolery went into MS Word (or something) and copy and pasted his name "TomFoolery" a million times. then he copied all of that text and started a thread with the thread title "TomFoolery x 1,000,000". And he pasted that text as the first post.

I saw the thread title come up and clicked it. my computer locked up, i never saw what was in the thread. i think i had to do a hard reboot. got back online and i couldn't get IT to come up at all. They were always having glitches of some sort, so i logged into UJ. Tom had started a thread there that said, "Uh Oh. I might have crashed IT".

Sure enough, he had crashed the server that hosted IT along with dozens of other online sites. it was fucking down for weeks.

I can't remember my join date for the original UJ.. I lurked for years before joining.. I'm thinking sometime around 2008 I started lurking but didn't join for a few years.. it was definitely a different place back then.. seemed more diverse and a lot more active
