Has anyone watched "Black Summer" on Netflix?
Turned it on last night just to have something to zone out to and ended up binge watching like 5 hours of it until 3 o'clock in the morning.
If you like zombie apocalypse stuff, this is a really good one. It has a very unique format and style. Well written.
And it's one of those shows where no character is safe. People pop in and out of this show at breakneck speed.
It's gritty and streamlined. Not a lot of time spent on character development. These people are literally just running for their lives.
For you zombiephiles out there, I highly recommend it.

I liked it. You could tell they had budget restraints but that just made it a little more gritty and realistic. I liked how the action kind of took place in a regular neighborhood. All in all one of the better Z movies/series I've seen.
I blame Biker.

It's OK. Kinda jumpy. It killed a couple of evenings, which makes it an 8.Reservoir Dog wrote: ↑Sun Apr 28, 2019 1:03 pm Turned it on last night just to have something to zone out to and ended up binge watching like 5 hours of it until 3 o'clock in the morning.

this show.. like most post apocalyptic shows is damn stupid and unbelievable. I'm a few episodes in and it's just frustratingly bad..
We're suppose to believe that a month or so after this event begins, a few dozen 15 year old's have taken over a high school and are amusing themselves by torturing and murdering people?
Just like Walking Dead.. all of these stories focus predominantly on the violence between survivors and even as someone who holds little faith in his fellow man, I don't think we'd be this cruel to one another.

There is no doubt in my mind that people would act that cruel if not worse
I blame Biker.

You really ought to read more history. Man can be ruefully ruthless to his fellow man, sometimes even in the best of circumstances.JackRabbit_Slim wrote: ↑Sun Apr 28, 2019 5:11 pm even as someone who holds little faith in his fellow man, I don't think we'd be this cruel to one another.
If you can't be a good example, you can still serve as a horrible warning.

Yeah, you really gotta hate it when a show about a zombie apocalypse starts drifting into the unbelievable.JackRabbit_Slim wrote: ↑Sun Apr 28, 2019 5:11 pm this show.. like most post apocalyptic shows is damn stupid and unbelievable. I'm a few episodes in and it's just frustratingly bad..

You are mistaken. What the genre gets right, IMO, is that we would revert to the middle ages, with kingdoms, and fighting over resources.JackRabbit_Slim wrote: ↑Sun Apr 28, 2019 5:11 pm this show.. like most post apocalyptic shows is damn stupid and unbelievable. I'm kinda getting the feeling JackRabbit is not of fan of zombie movies/ series. More of a "Bromance" kind of guy.
