Stymie was on UJ for since around 2006 and I had the pleasure of meeting him about three years ago, right after the Trump election, in his hometown of Philadelphia. Damn, I know I don't post here much but I do lurk a lot, especially in the politics SFW area. The guy was a seriously intelligent, moral and empathetic person, whom I agreed with on many subjects. I don't think I ever spoke to him directly but despite that I will miss his posts. Godspeed Stymie, from a guy you didn't know existed but thought you were a thoroughly decent chap.

He does have kind of an "everyman" look to him there. Gotta say not at all what I had pictured in my mind.
One of the few personal things he ever mentioned over the years was that he had a cat.

Yeah, stymie was unabashedly left but I think deep down, though he would never admit it, he hated a lot of the BS associated with the Left now.
