Discectomy? I was referred for a microdiscectomy and that surgeon said no it’s way more extensive so I’m getting a disc replacement l4-l5 and possibly also l5-s1. Chronic pain is no joke and doing it sober sans pain management makes it suck so much worse. I have a lawyer going for 100% for me right now I’m at 90 tho currently but all my denies are literally directly impacted by my back so I feel like this new updated diagnosis will help push it forward.Homebrew wrote: ↑Wed Aug 26, 2026 7:07 pmDiscectomy? Hehe now that you mention it….
Had my appointment yesterday and the new specialist says absolutely you need this surgery! However I need you to go get a CT done because you have a genetic deformity and depending on the severity you might not be able to have surgery as all.
