Three tankers hit in the Strait of Hormuz as US revokes license authorizing sale of Iranian oil
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) — Three tankers were struck by projectiles Tuesday in the Strait of Hormuz, the British military said, and the United States revoked a license that had authorized the sale of Iranian oil as part an interim deal to end the fighting between the U.S. and Iran.
The new assaults in the fuel-shipping waterway were the most in a single day since late April, according to the U.N. International Maritime Organization. The fresh attacks threatened to choke off the flow of traffic in the strait just as countries hoped to restore normal shipping practices and ease the global economic strain of the war.
Hours later, the U.S. revoked the 60-day license issued last month by the Treasury that waived sanctions on Iranian oil.
A U.S. official said the license was revoked because Iran’s actions in the strait were unacceptable and needed to be met with consequences. The official spoke with The Associated Press on the condition of anonymity to share insight into the reasoning behind the move.
The Iranian mission to the United Nations did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
One tanker was traveling off the coast of Oman when it was hit and caught fire, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations center said. Iranian state television said the liquefied natural gas tanker came under attack after ignoring warnings but did not directly claim the assault.

That was part of the terms of your surrender, Iran has rejected your surrender. Squirm away, they're just going to get better terms. Or at least get your nation of lying welshers to honour existing terms.

No, it was lifting the sanctions on their oil which have been in place for decades you delusional traitor. Their only concession was reopening the strait, now closed again, which was open before chump fucked up the Obama deal and lost the war. Caving on that was the price of attempting to get back to pre war conditions without any other benefit at all. And even that failed.

If the US issuing licences to allow Iranian ships means y'all can't have surrendered, after your surrender is accepted and Iran is issuing licences to allow shops to get through, what does that mean to you? Victory?
How bout you dare to answer this - when the new 'deal' is reached, if Iran is in control of the strait, hasn't given up enrichment and there's no mention of missiles or support for regional militias, would you recognise that as an epic defeat for chumps 'Murica? Y'all will be lucky if you can keep your damaged indefensible bases in regional countries at this point.

Youre forgetting that I was 100% against this shit war from the start. Not sure why youre asking me what victory looks like. From what I gather, it seems we have the Obama plan in place plus a toll tax on oil going to China, India, and Europe. I'm good with that. You fucks need to bleed at the pump.
And oh, their military is decimated. Thats a plus too

The military that they never used to start wars with?
Not sure what difference it makes anyways if they are still capable of striking their neighbors and strangling the Strait. They are still producing missiles and drones as we speak.
You can be against this shit from the start and still admit that we ended up with egg on our face.
At best this ended up a draw and Iran gets a moral victory for surviving the fight against the favorite and chipping away at US voter's support of Israeli warmongering.
