Worth the price at any cost. I installed a front and rear cam some 4 months ago.
Rear-ended.
Insurance wanted statements from everyone, could have delayed everything. The moment I said we had front and rear video, uploaded to GIECO a min later, the claim was fast tracked with appointment with the body shop and rental car there waiting. 20 min phone call.
Car was in the shop for 6 days, now they are going after the other person for our deductible and everything they spent fixing the car.
Everyone should have a dash cam, at any cost. I spent maybe 100 on our drive cam with a hardware kit and high endurance memory card. Installed myself and it took a few hours but I was meticulous and wanted an invisible install.
Get a dash cam people. Any model at any price, get one.

I've been thinking about installing dash cams in our vehicles for a while. What brand did you go with? Given your success, I figure yours has a successful track record and can save me endless research on the interwebs.

yeah, can you give a list of things required and an amazon link for each one?
Would this bundle work?

I have noticed an sudden increase in rear end collisions on company trucks. I can't really figure out what the scam is or how the people benefit from doing it. But it is happening a lot and people seem to rush to file a claim even if its their fault because the first one to file seems to lock up the process, or certainly delay the process.

Sorry for the late reply, life has been a tornado!!
Dash cam I used -
Amazon Link
Its down to 70 bucks with the hardware kit.
Easy to install. Buy a Samsung Pro Endurance or Sandisk Extreme memory card. They are made to survive the high heat and extreme cold plus constant write cycles.
Turn the crash lock off, its actually better to have it just keep recording than locking files when it thinks there an impact.
