Finally have a new guy hired in at work after being short for almost a year. Looks like he's going to fit in well enough. Anyway I was just in the warehouse to look at some heavy gauge copper wire, gave my instructions and pulled some out and tossed it into a tub about 6 or 7 feet away. 1 inch diameter solid copper wire, three or 4 rounds at about 3 foot in diameter.
My old hand turned to the kid and told him to grab one as well. Kid picked it up with a bit of a look of surprise and walked it over to the tub.
Old boy turned to him and said "I wanted you to see that, just because (Blast) can pick something up doesn't mean you should try"
I had to laugh.
Anyone got some fun work stories?

Which part was the fun work story?

Late teens early 20's working in the restaurant industry. Sexual meat market. The cooks and I used to bet who'd get the newest waitress or hostess first. The dry stock room was a quick destination for all kinds of shenanigans for the staff. Man I miss those days.

I thought it was probably something like that.

Back in my machinist days if I happened to be running a CNC machine that day I could often sit back and read after I finished the programming and the machine was going through its cycles. Some programs could last hours.

I've been posting here long enough, I figured everyone knew I enjoy breaking things and throwing heavy objects. We had a slow day where we had a brake rotor throwing contest. I've thrown a 20 lb kettle bell at scrap cars to blow off some steam.
