First photo of a Black hole ever recorded

Center of Galaxy M87- 53 million lights years away. Not just a Black hole, but the largest ever recorded. The size of our entire Solar System and a mass of 6.5 Billion times of our Sun/

so that's what it looked like a few million years after the dinosaurs went extinct. i wonder what it looks like now?

That's the problem. Most may assume when they see the image that what they are seeing is a current image of a BH captured recently. Actually a photo 53 million years old. So to see what it looks like today, you have to wait 53 millions years and take another photo. But of course by that time your are again 53 Millions years behind. Etc etc.

actually, you can never get a picture of what it looks like "right now".

Take a picture of the moon tonight. That's what is looked like 2 seconds ago. Multiply out to the Big Bang 14 Billion years ago and everything in between.
