Well this fucking sucks

Looks like my pet cat has died. 6-7 years old. Found him as newborn in a box blown by the wind. Greatest pet ever. Loved baths -GTFO. Outdoor 365 days a year. Looks like the dangerous overnight odds finally caught up with him.Left yesterday morning and never showed back up. Going to damn miss him.

Should have kept him inside if you wanted to keep him alive.

Nah, totally outdoor. I'm actually a dog person but don't have any fenced in area in my yard. Great cat.

I would not be surprised if he didn't die of medical instead of say a coyote. For 2 years, almost always wouldn't let you pat his head, like suffering cat migraines or something.

If you have a porch look under it. If they're sick they like to crawl in somewhere and croak. I've found a few cat skeletons in Jersey crawlspaces doing installs.

Is it neutered? Sometimes if they’ve been in a bad fight they won’t return for a few days.

Yeah, I looked everywhere he would be hiding around my house. My problem is I live at the edge of my town. He crawls through the fence into the adjacent pasture and it's like 3 miles to the river. Could be anywhere. BTW, I had him "fixed" as a kitten.

Actually she's had 3 dogs roaming around the neighborhood the last couple of days. Very strong possibility that they killed him.

It's been 48. And my cat is worse than my Dad when it comes to "set in your ways". Same routine every day. At the door at human wakeup time. I still hold out minor hope but it's slim. The only scenario I can see left is this. A lot of open territory around here and a lot of people do trapping for fur animals. Someone sets out cage trap with bait food inside. Checks it every couple of days and sees a cat inside and lets it free. That's about it at this point.

Not mine. I live here and don't know what house that is. Can't figure out the trees on the left.

The major oil field they found almost 100 years ago is situated SW of town. Check out the satellite image to see it. After finding the first few prolific wells, they spread way out to find the outer limits. Ended at the edge of town. Still turned out be 36,000 acres. All SW

This is why back in the old UJ days when I mentioned ditzy across the street, everybody wanted to see a photo of her in her yard. I refused because of Google Street view. Back in my UJ puppy days, I was warned by a UJ vet to be careful about giving out personal info. Any info. And that Vet was DT.
