That was brilliant

Just got done making a salad earlier and knocked my nice sharp 8 inch chef's knife off the counter. Instant reaction is to catch it because I didn't want it to stab me in my foot.
I successfully catch it, close my hand around the blade and feel it cut me. Nothing big, just a small cut, but I drop the knife the rest of the way.
My thought was immediately, that was fucking brilliant.

What brilliant shit have you ladies and assholes done over the years?

Dropped my 10 inch chef's knife, square on my bunion. Blood all over the tile floor. Cooking in bare feet. A little nerve damage. Should have gotten stitches but didn't.

That is all.

This is my go to for everything. It is always super sharp and it's heavy enough that if I'm dumb enough to put it down where it is going to get knocked, it barely moves and stays put.

One of the most brilliant ideas I ever had was to carve a pumpkin using a Dremel.

Never did that again.....

Use hole saw attachments. Then fine tune. You're welcome.
