my first poll here and I already WTC'd it... options should have been "up to 1 year", "up to 2 years", etc.

I believe Biden has already said he's only doing 1 term. So somewhere around the 2-3 year mark he will hand the reigns over to Kamala to give her every possible benefit of the incumbent. She will then go into the 2024 election as the existing POTUS so it wont be Haley running against VP Harris; it will be Haley running against President Harris. She'll get a year or so of job experience and make the R's job of unseating her a bit tougher.

I think after the midterms he will step down and give Heels Up time to grow into the role

How many terms would she be able to serve in these circumstances?

I looked it up, under the 22 amendment, she can serve two more terms if she serves less than two years of Biden's presidency.

She could only do 2 terms if she became President at the half-way mark. So only 6 years total instead of 8.

Unless trump runs again, then it won't be Haley.

amended. you're right

However, If Kamala took over in the first year lets say......she would only be eligible for one more term..

If the vice president becomes president and serves more than two years of the term, then he or she can serve no more than one elected term.

Here is what the amendment says:

Section 1. "No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once. But this article shall not apply to any person holding the office of President when this article was proposed by the Congress, and shall not prevent any person who may be holding the office of President, or acting as President, during the term within which this article becomes operative from holding the office of President or acting as President during the remainder of such term."

Trump won't run again. The Republicans will find a way to stop him. In politics, once you lose you're usually box office poison.
