I'm thinking I should give the guy a brief timeout, aka ban. He's clearly having an episode, and is going to keep bleating weird shit until he passes out. I sincerely think he needs mental health help, and I don't think it's helpful to let him embarrass himself with another extended meltdown, the guy needs to step away from the keyboard and try to think about his problems.

Community thoughts? Good move or over moderating?

Has anyone thought of the obvious solution. I direct this especially at AH, RD and CQ being the worst offenders. Just ignore and don't even respond a single time. Logic dictates that after a few threads he will realize he's talking to himself. Problem solved.

It's pretty hard to ignore when he brings it into every fucking thread regardless of context.

I'd say that's the defining factor in determining a ban worthy melt. If the melter keeps it to one thread it can be overlooked and people who want to enjoy the show can have at it.
