I think it is still the largest TV audience to view a finale live.

The whole machine-gun-in-the-car thing was a little over the top. Did he have any idea how many things would have to go perfectly right for that to happen? If you think about it, it was a pretty bad plan.

I noticed that as well. It was a pretty convoluted plan. What happened if they parked the car far away? But I was so invested in the story and characters by that point that I was able to suspend disbelief enough to enjoy it.
