Hacked password database

From about 1993-2000 I used a particular password on non financially important websites. I've only used it on one site in at least a decade and it's for football.

In the past two weeks I've received at least a dozen copies of the same spam email threatening to blackmail me unless I pay $1,200 in Bitcoin to them. They say they know everything about me, have accessed my computer remotely so they have all my contacts and have video of me from my webcam. It specifically gives that password as proof.


I'll bet they actually get paid occasionally. Some of you perverts visit some pretty sick sites I'll bet.

I don't know that I ever got one of these before and if I did they never actually had a password I used.

I've been getting them for about a year. They keep getting funnier with the accusations each time they rewrite it

I'm actually glad I got into this thread. Bought a new computer late last year and just realized I had forgotten to tape over the webcam. Precaution since I never use it. Always seemed perfect for a "1984" scenario.
