Lots of alphabet agency types around here won’t have this shit in their homes. Neither will I. The coming surveillance age will be impossible to dodge, but don’t go out of your way to let them in.
Re: ALEXA ABUSE
I already know this. Saw it coming for years. I have an ancient verizon flip phone for work. Have no desire for any smartphones. I know where that leads. I will opt out.VinceBordenIII wrote: ↑Fri Jun 28, 2019 11:12 pm Lots of alphabet agency types around here won’t have this shit in their homes. Neither will I. and the agents at DARPA slam down their headsets in frustration. Operation WTC foiled again. So much genius to tap into but he just keeps outsmarting them.
I blame Biker.

Would Laughlin have been better? I'm just kind of rolling with whatever. Kingman isn't horrible.

Re: ALEXA ABUSE
I consider one author and his book to be just pure genius when he published it in 1949 warning of the coming technology onslaught and the threat it all posed to personal freedom. He envisioned the govt being able to monitor you and your family's daily routine through your TV set. Is this not what Alexa is? Who is stupid enough to allow that in their house. The author was George Orwell and the book was "1984".

Re: ALEXA ABUSE
What is this book 1984 you're referring to? It involves the government monitoring everyone's daily routine!?!? That is amazing. You must be the most brilliant person on this board to make that connection between this book 1984, and what's going on nowadays. No one has ever brought that up!! You are so enlightened. I'm going to have to check this book 1984 oot. Who is the author?WestTexasCrude wrote: ↑Sat Jun 29, 2019 11:55 pm I consider one author and his book to be just pure genius when he published it in 1949 warning of the coming technology onslaught and the threat it all posed to personal freedom.
