I'm not a huge fan of Texas. I generally dislike states with an oversized input of influence on our country. I dislike California even more. At least Texas is still red. When it goes blue we're pretty much fucked.

The area. Well, every Texan male that I've met has been an asshole and constantly wants to proclaim how great Texas is and how it can separate into five smaller states, yadda yadda yadda. It's annoying as fuck, and no one gives a shit. They say this usually out of nowhere and without provocation. And since from where I sit, California is in your area, it sucks and can fall off the planet, and the world would be better.

I consider the Midland area to be by far the ugliest country in the US and most any other ones. Too bad it's sitting on $4 Trillion in oil/gas wealth. Don't piss us off. Actually I meant "My area". I don't live anywhere near Midland. I'm almost 100 miles south. Semi-mountainous country at the edge of the Trans-Pecos.
