If you had a family like my wife does you would be proud to be El Salvadorian like she is. Her family, which is huge, are a group of hard working people that are good people and pluses in this world. I don't have a bad thing to say about any one of them. Where she lives in El Salvador is a beautiful small town where everyone knows each other. Her home, that her father left to her, is nicer than most places you see even in the US.
But, we've had this same discussion over & over Biker & I'm sure people are getting bored with it by now. Why not be man enough to address a different question? Are you proud to be a dark skinned Brazilian? Is your home country in Brazil that superior to other countries on this planet? All I hear is they're destroying the rainforest, the crime rate is through the roof, and the place is riddled with sexual deviants. Now you have a president there that makes Trump look good.
In the end though, just like you can't pick your parents, you can't pick the country you were born in. My wife was born in the so-called shithole country of El Salvador yet she managed to be a highly successful and giving person helping out her family that's in the US as well as El Salvador. I'm not sure you can say the same about yourself. What have you done for Brazil and your family lately?

It's not far off. VT and ME are busy hugging trees and smoking pot to argue the point. Northern NH, too. All of MA, RI, CT and most of NH could be Massholes. A little of CT are too uppity and claim to be NY'ers. My summary:
MA = Boston
NH = we got a big lake
ME = we got access to Canada via snowmobile trails
VT = we got lesbian marriages
CT = we got an easy commute to NY
RI = we got nothing, but Family Guy is based in RI
ALL have ugly chicks in gray hoodies, stuck up attitudes for no reason, shitty drivers, impatient assholes, easy access to the beach or mountains, and a full range of weather - from 0 - 100 degrees.

This is pretty much the impression a lot of people have about the area. Aside from the historical aspect of Boston, I have virtually no interest in any of it. I suppose for scenic purposes it might be nice to see some of those states. Once.

Born and raised here. Fun to look at. Seasons, mountains, beaches, rivers, lakes, trails, forests...Any cultural experience you want, every sport to play and/or follow. I never realized how much people here are true assholes until I traveled outside the box. Even worse is we seem to take pride in it. I get the same impression of New Yorkers. Turns out, no one else gives a shit we are from Boston (or NY). Ugly and out of shape, both inside and outside. I am waiting for my step-kids to grow up, go off to school and get their lives started before I GTFO.
I am literally shocked when I visit places and people seem genuinely happy, positive and interested in other people. I am one of these asshole here, but I married up. She is (very) slowly wearing off on me, and I hope she doesn't give up. I hope to become less of an asshole, before I turn her to the dark side. Wish me luck...or fuck off. I don't care either way
