I don't think that I would consider gravy a "side".
What if it was one guy with six guns?

I'm just gonna say it: That "Green Bean Casserole" bullshit is overrated.

I don't know where they get corn for Florida. I've never seen corn offered at any TG dinner I've been at for the last 40 years or so. It will not be on the table at my son's house this year, either. His wife will be serving her own green bean casserole from scratch (no cans!), though.
If you can't be a good example, you can still serve as a horrible warning.

Most Guns by Total Volume (Registered Firearms in 2024)
Due to data limitations and varying state registration laws, these numbers are based on registered firearms and are often correlated with the state's total population.
Texas: 1,136,732 registered weapons
Florida: 631,809 registered weapons
Virginia: 479,582 registered weapons
California: 418,971 registered weapons
Georgia: 377,800 registered weapons

My dad had about 20 guns. My father in law had about 40 guns. I probably have around 40 guns. Most of the people that I know probably don't have any guns. I really don't see anything at all unusual about a map like that. Show me a map that shows what percentage of the population house those 400 million guns.

I probably have around 25 guns, pretty much everyone that I know has guns. There are a few friends who aren't into hunting or sport shooting that have a single hand gun that they keep in the house just in case.

the hill country is pretty vague. Austin is considered the hill country and its pretty faggish. if you are going rural, it really just depends on how big of an asshole you are to people. If you are arming for hunting or predators, a .243 or AR would probably be sufficient.

Boerne is a good choice. That really is the hill country. Close enough to San Antonio and far enough out to be smal town. And close to Luchenbach.Ricrude wrote: ↑Wed Jan 07, 2026 6:41 pmWas thinking the Boerne area...is that less assholeish?Animal wrote: ↑Wed Jan 07, 2026 5:57 pmthe hill country is pretty vague. Re: Map Porn
Yes, it is...we have friends that live there. Went to Luckenbach on an off afternoon...was really nice. The Post office was a nice touch. Went to a hole-in-the-wall renovated gas station it looked like near Fredericksburg for one of the best burgers I've ever had. On the way there we passed this cavern that housed migratory bats, (Bat Cave), they said about 3 million take flight on the average night. Really bice area.
