That's always what I love about hurricane approaches: just how nice the leading side of the hurricane makes the local weather. So sweet and breezy. Then the rain bands start in and the wind picks up, and you realize shit is just about to hit the fan.

Its supposed to get worse through the evening and night. Currently we're getting bands of rain with sun in between

I was in New Orleans for the end of a hurricane. It would rain for 15-20 minutes so you'd hang out somewhere and then the sun would be out for 20-30 minutes so you moved to the next location. Repeat over and over for 36 hours.
