This fouts person gets it. I remember eating at Fuddruckers for years/ decades. Bloody burgers juice running down my chin. Never got sick eating there. Nanny state idiots forget humans evolved over 2 million years eating raw uncooked food and our immune systems evolved. If I get a burger order at some local restaurant and I see an indentation where a metal thermo probe was inserted to assure 160 degrees, I walk and would never go back.fouts wrote: ↑Tue Aug 27, 2019 2:28 amMany restaurants won't get my and others business. Yet sushi,a great source of parasites,is so popular. I asked if I could get sushi broiled-not possible.

Restaurants don't want to get sued for food poisoning, the risk of which is greatly increased with undercooked burger.WestTexasCrude wrote: ↑Tue Aug 27, 2019 8:54 pmBS, It's a Nanny state issue. Who said anything about eating hamburgers "raw"? I like my burgers/steaks on the medium rare side with some red juices. Every human on Earth can agree there nothing more disgusting than chicken/ pork with even a hint of "undercooked". Nasty

I can just picture WTC taking the bun, lettuce, tomato, bacon, cheese, and all the condiments off a burger so he can check it for a temp probe indentation.JackRabbit_Slim wrote: ↑Tue Aug 27, 2019 11:01 pmUm.. comparing a restaurant burger to the fare of ancient humans is remarkably dumb. Not really, if you think about it. Our immune systems have evolved for 2 millions years when it comes to food. I'm thinking the "Progressive" 160 degree BS rule is an example. I'm pretty sure the human race will survive with food cooked at 140. Another Nanny state "feel good" garbage.JackRabbit_Slim wrote: ↑Tue Aug 27, 2019 11:01 pmUm.. comparing a restaurant burger to the fare of ancient humans is remarkably dumb. I guess, I'm quietly suggesting with all proper respect that if you don't understand how Human evolution works, you may want to pick another thread. HF is good for a celeb thread every few months. Due to human evolution, you are NOT immune to the bacteria that can exist in undercooked hamburger.WestTexasCrude wrote: ↑Tue Aug 27, 2019 11:23 pmI guess, I'm quietly suggesting with all proper respect that if you don't understand how Human evolution works, you may want to pick another thread. Actually, that's the exact reason you can eat undercooked burgers with confidence. Thanks for the input Dr RD. I think there's a tech thread floating around that may attract your attention.
