Stock prices are always determined by people forecasting way down the road. Its never about what something is worth right now, its about what it will be worth 6 months or a year from now. And a price can drop because it had gone up too much prior, not because it suddenly became less attractive.

Keep in mind that this stock also pays a 6% dividend. That dividend is so high that it will actually drive investor decisions of when to buy and sell. I think what is hurting KMI right now is that the industry it is in is booming and there are other companies that you can move your money into and make more money. KMI is sort of a safe haven style company in the energy market.

I would be very happy to break even on a stock price that also pays a 6% dividend.

Thanks. Yeah, I was thinking dividends and things like that. Also have to factor in things like writedowns on investments, purchase or buyout due to expansion, probably an endless list. It's always the long term results that matter.
