The new official history of the White House on the White House website.
MAGA’s are going to love it, I chuckled
Can you imagine if Joe Biden had demolished the East Wing of the White House to build a $300 million ballroom?
The right-wing troglodytes would be in here completely losing their fucking minds!
The outrage from MAGA Media would be visible from Mars!
I say this to my brother regularly, it’s like we live in an alternate universe
Profound

I suspect that if Joe Biden had demolished the East Wing, most of America would assume that he mumbled something and his staff misheard and thought they were supposed to demolish the east wing. Then they used auto pens to draw up the construction contracts. And then Pelosi raised taxes on the weatlhiest americans to pay to have it built back into a George Floyd museum.

Trump first offered to build a ballroom while Barry was POTUS.
Even the Washington Post admits many Dems privately acknowledge the need for an event space on the grounds as we currently set up tents and fucking porta-potties.
I don't recall anyone here bitching about Barry putting in a fucking basketball court.

A vote was taken and passed today 50 to 46 to end the 50% tariffs on Brazil. Apparently I’m not the only person pissed about the cost of coffee.
46 Dems and 4 Republicans

50% of Americans pay less than $850 in income tax. So, to say that income taxes were eliminated isn't much of a stretch.

From the get-go that was always an unrealistic possibility. We will never get rid of the income tax. In theory, I don't hate the idea of eliminating the income tax and it being replaced via the tariffs as it is a more equitable form of taxation on the nation. It would almost be like a VAT and everyone of all incomes would be involved equal to the level of their consumption. Since the income tax will never go away though, I suppose a refund tariff check would be the next best thing but I'll believe it when I see it.

it would be more satisfying if it was because of innocence rather than technicalities, though. don't you think?

The DOJ has said they will appeal. The problem is not a lack of evidence, it's that the Statute of Limitations has now expired. So I'm sure there will have to be a court ruling on that as well as the technicality issue.

This case is not winnable.
James Comey went out of his way to get Trump elected the first time.
He refused to bend the knee
