Can you imagine the hackability (sp) of bouncing your internet off satellites. No thanks.megman wrote: ↑Sun Feb 24, 2019 8:35 pmYes/no.Reservoir Dog wrote: ↑Sun Feb 24, 2019 8:33 pmGet satellite internet. It ain't the best, but it's a whole lot better than 17 mb!WestTexasCrude wrote: ↑Sun Feb 24, 2019 8:14 pm Same here. Was lucky to get ATT U-verse. 17 mb. Best I can hope for.
I have a friend in Floresville just outside of San Antonio. She has Starband and it sucks.
These idiots are obviously trying to make up for some deficiencies below the belt, if you get my drift.analhamster wrote: ↑Sun Feb 24, 2019 10:10 pm Don't see why you'd ever need 1 gig on a home connection, anything over 25 meg will let you stream HD. I guess it's something to bring up at dinner parties.
You obviously don't share your bandwidth with anybody.analhamster wrote: ↑Sun Feb 24, 2019 10:10 pm Don't see why you'd ever need 1 gig on a home connection, anything over 25 meg will let you stream HD. I guess it's something to bring up at dinner parties.
Admittedly only two in my household currently and in the case of hd viewing it's generally a joint activity. But even 3 simultaneously viewing HD with a fourth line uploading security footage in real time and also HD leaves you way short of needing a gigabyte.Antknot wrote: ↑Sun Feb 24, 2019 10:32 pmYou obviously don't share your bandwidth with anybody.analhamster wrote: ↑Sun Feb 24, 2019 10:10 pm Don't see why you'd ever need 1 gig on a home connection, anything over 25 meg will let you stream HD. Try 3 in a residence (one a teenager) each with a phone, a tablet and a laptop add on a security system with off site video storage, the bread winners desktop, two additional customer specific laptops and a pair of servers.
