It should be filled ASAP. Preferably with a justice who can actually do the job, rather than falling asleep every five minutes or just not showing up for months at a time.
And the American people do have a voice in the selection of a new justice. They exercised it by electing President Trump.

And yet he was out-voted by over 3 million votes.

Much agreed. If the 3 million popular votes were devided by 50 would she have won the electoral? If San Francisco, LA and NYC decided the entire countries future, what a cluster that would be.
