You know its a small hick town in when it's only bragging rights are what the high school has done. It's even worse when the bragging rights belong to the band.

Braves and Bravettes? That's not even a thing. Why cant the girls teams just be named after cultural appropriation like the boys are?

Maybe the bravettes are the cheerleaders. Otherwise sure, they should properly be the squaws.

Well, this explains all the hubbub around here from yesterday, Multiple calls to local LE from area residence about some asshole driving through town in an out of state Prius with the right turn blinker stuck open, throwing empty beer cans out the window and yelling over and over what witnesses described as "Get your Ass out here, TWC". Deputies were unable to locate.

I totally agree with this statement. Maybe the only Liberal that's ever entered and made it out alive. Around here, you have to work hard for a living, you are responsible for your actions and there is no one, including govt agencies giving out "free stuff". Stapes wouldn't last 10 days around here.

You think working hard for a living exclusively belongs to a small shithole Texas town? Should we look up the welfare and food stamps statics for your town?

At the 2000 census,[1] 1,238 people, 427 households, and 335 families resided in the city. The population density was 2,234.3 per square mile (869.1/km²). The 542 housing units averaged 978.2 per square mile (380.5/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 92.00% White, 0.08% African American, 0.08% Native American, 6.22% from other races, and 1.62% from two or more races. Hispanics or Latinos of any race were 36.51% of the population.

Of the 427 households, 45.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 70.3% were married couples living together, 4.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 21.5% were not families. About 20.1% of all households were made up of individuals, and 7.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.90 and the average family size was 3.37.

Age distribution was 32.5% under the age of 18, 6.9% from 18 to 24, 30.3% from 25 to 44, 20.4% from 45 to 64, and 9.9% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 33 years. For every 100 females, there were 101.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 101.0 males.

The median household income was $44,583, and median family income was $48,207. Males had a median income of $40,345 versus $22,396 for females. The per capita income for the city was $15,589. About 5.0% of families and 7.2% of the population were below the poverty line, including 9.3% of those under age 18 and 7.6% of those age 65 or over.

For every 100 females, there were 101.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 101.0 males.
