Everytime you hear the phrase "Reasonable police officer" you have to take a drink
You know what you'd never get drunk off of, a drinking game where you have to drink everything someone says reasonable liberal. Because no one will ever say that.
Ummm.........
Yeah, I know there are reasonable liberals, but right now, there is no one listening to them it seems, at least main stream. It's all the idiots like stapes, cq, and spudoc that they are listening to.

Socialist, communist, statist, most far left wing idiots, same thing.

i think the defense attorney did a pretty great job. its been him and and an assistant through the entire trial. the state had a dozen lawyers most of which volunteered to help. its a pretty amazing thing for one lawyer to do. he is also much more engaging than the other side. the point with the cookies was easy to relate to. you need all of these items to make a chocolate chip cookie...if you are missing one item it isn't a chocolate chip cookie. same as this case...if you are missing one item its not guilty
I feel you, I did watch the rest of it. He was a better speaker and more engaged than the prosecution.
Yep, was a microcosm of capitalism at work
Exactly. Is anyone surprised by this?

that's what i am thinking. if they are unanimous that quickly, they probably were unanimous when they first got to the room. they didn't have to talk anyone into a lesser charge.

They gave them copies of the videos in the deliberation room which is apparently not normal. They think the jurors would have asked to see parts of the video if it was not already supplied.

I don't remember the 3 charges, but my guess is its the one that is the most harsh. Is that 2nd degree?

Will probably be second degree manslaughter, although as defined you can make a case for 3rd degree murder
I go with Count #1. 2nd degree Murder.

Wow. Will Minneapolis burn?
Of course. It’s never been about guilt or innocence for the mob, it’s about burning down society because these spoiled brats weren’t given what their teachers told them that they would get. Typical peasant behavior

I don't get it. How can someone be guilty of 2nd degree murder, 3rd degree murder, and 2nd degree manslaughter all for killing the same guy during the same event?

Yeah wouldn't the worst charge trump the lesser charges for same crime? Double Jeopardy or something.

its at least a relief to know the cities won't burn, the stores won't be ransacked and we won't have months of more protests. get this behind us.

One act can break multiple laws, if I mugged Flumpy I could be charged with robbery and assault. Double Jeopardy doesn't apply because he wasn't acquitted of any of these charges and retried

Agreed. He should only be guilty of one act of physical harm, say the charge with the stiffest penalty, but not all three. Maybe he used a defibrillator to bring him back a couple of times so he could fully enjoy killing him.
