You know, I honestly find these kinds of quotes funny. Not because I feel the need to run and fact check them, just because that's kind of how most people talk. They just blab out whatever to make a point and hope some of it sticks. It is an unfiltering of a politician that we have never seen.Stapes wrote: ↑Tue Jun 18, 2019 12:27 am “You want to see a bird cemetery? Go under a windmill sometime. You’ll see the saddest... you got every type of bird,” Trump insisted.
“You know, in California you go to jail for five years if you kill a bald eagle. You go under a windmill, you see them all over the place,” he continued, calling it “not a good situation.”
“But that’s what [Democrats] were counting on, wind,” Trump concluded. “When the wind doesn’t blow, you don’t watch television that night.”
It was like his comment in the interview the other day when he was asked "if you were offered damaging information on a candidate in the next election by a foreign government, would you look at it.". and he simply responded, "of course i would look at it." If you were to ask any other politician a question like that, you would likely get a 1 hour diatribe talking in circles and saying pretty much nothing.

I wonder if someone asked him if he accidentally walked into middle school girls shower room and peeped a bunch of prepubescent teenagers naked would he stick around and look or would he GTFO because he isn't allowed in there.Flumper wrote: ↑Tue Jun 18, 2019 8:26 pmYou know, I honestly find these kinds of quotes funny. Re: Tesla
you really wonder that?
What i think is most funny about it, is the reporters that ask these questions. Its like they are all fishing at the same time for the most elusive fish in the world, hoping to be THE one to catch it. then one asks one of these type questions and get this shocking answer and the look on their face is like "holy shit! I DID IT! I caught it!" And then they reel it in and its an empty hook.

Re: Tesla
I mean I guess the correct answer is boring. No, I would call The FBI and report the offer because it's illegal. That what Al Gore did. But since Trump used to "inspect" the locker rooms of his beauty pageants we all know what the leering pussy grabber would do.Flumper wrote: ↑Tue Jun 18, 2019 8:46 pmyou really wonder that?

I don't find it funny at all.....and it's not a one off thing. I expect the leader of the United States to have a communication skill level above a 4th grader and to not act functionally illiterate about the issues.
I blame Biker.

Re: Tesla
They bought what was described as a demo model. It turned out to be a used/returned model with a lot of problems.

Re: Tesla
Here's the synopsis.
A woman bought a Tesla over the phone from a dealer 2 hours away. She was told it was a demo with 170 miles and got a $500 discount.
She drove there and signed the papers without ever seeing the car.
The car was programmed for someone else's phone and had electrical issues in the console. They told her to reboot it and stfu. She drove it home.
Problems persisted so now people are telling her to return the car. Tesla doesn't know how to do that. Now she's whining like a bitch.

Re: Tesla
You do realize we have these hugely highly reliable cars/ trucks offered by every automaker on Earth at way less than half the price. Your choice. What would be your choice? Wave of the future, I'm sure. Just not for another 3 decades or way more. The whole business model is 10 years old out of date. Based on the false assumption then of "End of the oil economy". That assumption has been blasted to the winds. Forget oil. last 10 years has unleashed 2 Centuries of supply of cheap natural gas that blows Tesla's business model to atoms. It seems Musk has forgotten the basic business mantra taught by every college on Earth. "Go full blast, all the time, but when you see the failure approaching, GTFO.
