New truck

Post by DandyDon »

At least to me. I should pick her up tomorrow, the verbal deal is done but not the paperwork. 2007 Silverado Z71 with 84,000 miles. First thing I will do is use HP Tuners to delete the DOD and torque management bullshit and tweak the engine and it should be a fine truck for many miles to come.

I have a few from my dealership days, we got them for free. Several are still in the plastic, but the one I will use has been used before but still in great shape. I picked up new one at a Cracker Barrel or somewhere not long ago and of course its aluminum instead of steel like the old ones. I put it back.

"According to a Thursday Reuters report, GM currently makes $17,000 in pre-tax profit on average for every full-size pickup sold. The 2019 Silverado and 2019 Sierra should help that figure climb. GM did its research to ensure it used the right mix of materials to achieve weight savings and cost-effectiveness.

Compared to a Ford F-150 at about $10,000. Holy shit! I found that interesting. I guess I no longer have to wonder why trucks cost so damned much these days.

Trucks and SUVs are the money makers. And we Americans love them both. They'll keep making them as long as we keep buying them.

The Colorado and S-10's are completely different trucks that share no parts. I would know I've both of them
