Wow, I've heard of Ghost but figured they were much faster and more of the speed metal variety. They seem pretty mellow for Satan Worshipers.

They're super mellow. That's what is hilarious. The music doesnt match the imagery, at all. Its 100% satire.

And not to get technical, but they're not Satan worshippers, they're member of the Satanic Temple, who despite the name dont even necessarily believe in Satan as an entity, moreso as a metaphor for the hypocrisy of organized religion in a "separation of church and state" nation.

I am going to check out a little more of them on spotify. I have been reading up on the Satanic Temple. And found this handy chart..

They won a Grammy for the song Cirice, but probably their biggest hit has been Square Hammer. If it's not stuck in your head afterwards, I'd be VERY surprised. They also cover very non-metal acts like ABBA, the Eurythmics and Depeche Mode.

I guess they're playing in Youngstown or some shit city in ohio and my friend was asking me if I wanted to go just yesterday. I took a look at a few of their videos and thought, umm no thanks. He's paying $250 for decent seats and that shit just doesn't compute for me.

Supposedly it's one of the best live shows going. I've got tickets for the Vancouver show in Sept but they definitely weren't $250!

Just listened to both. Square Hammer is defintely catchy. That and Dance Macabre sound like the 80s rock from MTV. Cirice had a good video but surprised it won awards.

Their mastermind Tobias Forge is a cinematography buff. Their vids are top notch. Another reason I'm stoked for the live show.
