Cruise Ship Review

#1

Post by CHEEZY17 »

I'm back bitches!

Took a nice cruise on the Utopia of the Seas.
It's a Royal Caribbean ship and holy shit it is fucking ginormous. It's huge with thousands of guests but it rarely felt crowded.
It's a newer ship so everything was fresh and new, plenty of staff for your needs, almost no forced [ahem] "cultural enrichment", a nicer class of people generally that we've seen before (Carnival, Princess).
Buffet food was "meh" but the specialty restaurants were first fucking class. Plenty of pools and adults only areas and the solarium is amazing.
Hand sanitizer stations were everywhere.
Shows were excellent and well produced.
The RC private Island is cool but they need to do a culling of the fucking sea gulls and the only reason I'm not going with 5 stars.
4.5 stars.

One of the "neighborhoods is "Central Park" with lots of greenery and outdoor cafes. A favorite.

The Solarium. This pic doesn't do it justice.

Nice, I was on that ship last October for a quick 4 day cruise. Agree with your assessment mostly. The private island was just an extension of the ships pool areas I felt. The nightly shows were higher quality than I expected.

Absolutely.
The shows felt like they really wanted them to be good so they put in the time and effort for everything.
I'm not a huge salt water fan so the private island was more about getting off the ship for a bit and chilling on the beach.

Royal Carribean has so far been the best cruise line i have been on. Once you have been on one of their ships you can get easily disappointed on anything with lesser quality. I will never take another Carnival Cruise.
