I disagreed. Everybody listed as nonessential should lose their job. Sure it’s gonna take a while to get the mess straightened out but in the end it’ll be better.

in a real company, where profit matters, that would work. But in this situation it will not work. Those people will not lose their jobs and they will probably even get back pay for every hour they got to sit home and scratch lottery tickets during the shut down.

In the actual "end" everything will go back to exactly the way it was and the only people hurt are the ones with investments that suffered. I am sure that right now people are literally pulling money out of 401(k)s and IRA's and whatever else, and they are paying the commissions and paying the capital gains because they can't just sit and watch their retirement go down the drain.

Then this will end, stocks will go back up and there they will sit with their money in their mattress or gold bars in the closet. Its a ridiculous game and we play it over and over again.
