They should have spent the money to restart the series. Shame it was cancelled after 3 seasons, the cocksuckers!

It was barely making enough to cover its own expenses.
And while it had a very loyal (almost cult-like) following and got a bunch of Emmy nominations, it's ratings were never very good.

Really. I never realized the ratings were that bad. It seemed like everybody was talking about it at the time. Maybe HBO putting out the movie is a good thing. Letting all the rabid fans have closure, as such. I thought it was a great series.Reservoir Dog wrote: ↑Fri Apr 26, 2019 9:01 pmMoney.WestTexasCrude wrote: ↑Fri Apr 26, 2019 8:54 pmI don't even remember now. Deadwood came out (2004) in the age of "premium cable" when people had to pay through the nose to watch stuff like Deadwood.WestTexasCrude wrote: ↑Fri Apr 26, 2019 9:06 pmReally. If Deadwood came out today it would run for 10 years.
Re: Deadwood movie trailer.
Funny you said that, I was having the same thought. I couldn't remember when it ran so I checked IMDB. Thought maybe the economic depression of 2008-9 may have been a factor (saving home vs HBO cable). But ran only until 2006.Reservoir Dog wrote: ↑Fri Apr 26, 2019 9:12 pmDeadwood came out (2004) in the age of "premium cable" when people had to pay through the nose to watch stuff like Deadwood.WestTexasCrude wrote: ↑Fri Apr 26, 2019 9:06 pmReally. Re: Deadwood movie trailer.
1:33 leads me to believe Brad Dourif is back as Doc Cochran. Yep!, he's in it, and I'll be watching!
Apparently all the show's major cast members are back, other than a few who've died, and Titus Welliver who was too busy with Bosch.

If you can't be a good example, you can still serve as a horrible warning.
