It's not a ban, they're just replacing the 'are you 18' question with an actual check that you are. Turns out those sneaky kids sometimes weren't entirely honest when answering the question.
Still a stupid law though, you have to enter name and DOB so it can be checked against databases like the DVLA. Hacking and data leaks are inevitable, and any kid with half a brain will just enter his dad's details. Or mother/grandma, in the case of black folk.
